Mills Oakley was established in Melbourne in 1864 by a young Irish man, John Scott Mills. The firm is notable as it recently celebrated its 150th anniversary making it one of the oldest law firms in Australia.[2]

Community

In 2014 Mills Oakley partnered with Salvos Legal Humanitarian to provide pro bono legal services. A team of five lawyers from Salvos Legal Humanitarian will be based within the Mills Oakley office in Sydney, with Salvos Legal Humanitarian supervising them.[6]
