The Ministry of Kashmir Affairs & Gilgit Baltistan (Urdu: وزارت امور کشمیر و گلگت بلتستان, abbreviated as MoKGB) is a ministry of the Government of Pakistan. The Ministry looks upon affairs of Azad Kashmir and Gilglit Baltistan as both territories do not enjoy regular provincial status of Pakistan.

History

Kashmir & Northern Areas Division was established in 1975, In 1996 It was elevated to Ministry of Kashmir & Northern Areas and SAFRON. In 2004 it was named Ministry of Kashmir & Northern Area while in 2009 after making Gilgit Baltitan a special status like province it was once again renamed to Ministry of Kashmir Affairs & Gilgit Baltistan.[1]
