Mir Sayyad, or Prince Emire, was an Indian general in the service of France.

An Indian fighting dagger used by Mir Sayyad during the American Revolutionary War.

Mir lost his lands to the Kingdom of Great Britain while travelling, and joined the French. He looked "quite barbarian" according to a British soldier. He advised Philippe de Rullecourt, the French commander at the Battle of Jersey, to ransack the city and massacre the townspeople. However, the invasion was a complete failure.
