Mira Monte Inn is a historic Victorian building in Bar Harbor, Maine that is now a seventeen-room bed and breakfast. 44°23′11″N 68°12′38″W / 44.38640°N 68.21043°W / 44.38640; -68.21043

History

Originally a summer cottage, the inn was built in 1860 by a prominent member of the resort town of Bar Harbor. A fire in the summer of 1947 nearly threatened to burn the entire town. The Mira Monte Inn was fortunately unharmed, while 397 other seasonal cottages were irreparably damaged. The home is located in the center of Harbor Village, which was included in the National Register of Historic Places. It has been operating as a bed and breakfast for over thirty years.[1]
