Incorrect locations[edit]

This module is returning incorrect locations when correct coordinates are entered. For the most part, location markers are appearing too far west and south of the coordinates entered. This can be seen right in the documentation, where he marker for Cleveland in the first example is completely off the lake shore, which is obviously wrong to anyone who knows US geography. I'll attempt to correct it. oknazevad (talk) 09:26, 27 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Good catch. I suspect this module requires equations to calculate X and Y values for plotting, as the map used was cropped from one with an equidistant conic projection -- not an equirectangular one. I've replaced this module with Location map/data/USA Northeast to generate the locations on the maps for Frontier League and Midwest League. If "someone" can fix this module, it could be reinstated in those articles, though the current maps appear fine. Waz8:T-C-E 04:40, 3 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Those look great. oknazevad (talk) 02:07, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I had initially tried using equations to calculate the X and Y values, but the markers were appearing too far north, and the Lake Erie Crushers' stadium plotted in the water! So, I decided to switch to another module that worked. Waz8:T-C-E 03:33, 4 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
