Zoyari in 2014

Mohammad Kheirkhah Zoyari also known as Moe Zoyari[1] (born 24 June 1986) is an Iranian-American photographer, who won the distinguish international award of Pictures of the Year International Award of Excellence[2] at the age of 21.

Biography

Zoyari worked for United Press International,[3] and the BBC from 2005 to 2015. He started his work as a photographer at the age of 14. After covering Iran's nuclear program, earthquakes, and political turmoil, he covered events in the Middle East, Europe and the United States. His photographs have been published in Newsweek,[4] Time,[5] and Le Figaro.[6] Zoyari left Iran for good after the turbulent aftermath of Iranian presidential election, 2009 and went to Afghanistan for 44 days to be an embedded journalist with the U.S. Army, and is now based in Chicago, IL. He is a represented by Redux Pictures at the moment, and is a photography writer for Deutsche Welle.[7]
