Moin-ud-din Pur (معین الدین پور) is a village located on the outskirts of Gujrat city.[1] The village is named after a sufi saint, Syed Moinuddin Chishti Gharib Nawaz.
90% of the residents of Moin-ud-din Pur are descendants of Muhammad via Ja'far al-Sadiq sixth Imam[citation needed] this is the reason they are called Syed or Jaffari. Note that both sunni and Shia population belongs to same creed "syed".Almost half (or more)of the residents belong to Sunni Islam but rapidly converting to Shia Islam. In 1932 only one family converted to Shia Islam but now in 2017 hundreds of families in Moinuddin Pur are Shia. There are two private colleges situated in its premises.

History
Moin ud din pur is a land of saints having more than 8 popular shrines and more influential in Gujrat region. Once this village was known for Leadership in social works, community building institutions and for vocational institutions. Then with passage of time the villagers could not upgrade there education leaves due to misc. reasons. The major business of public was transport system. The Nobel persons from this village used to settle the Quarrels and misunderstanding in surrounding villages as well as in city area.
