(Previous edit was meant to reference St. Albans rather than Valley Stream, which does not have a platform along the Montauk Branch's trackage; while Valley Interlocking is configured to allow all services using the line to access the station, the actual platform is along the Atlantic Branch) undo

  • curprev 13:5813:58, 10 February 2024Pokemonred200 talk contribs 36,941 bytes −944 This table is not meant to reflect the specific service pattern of Montauk Branch service, but the location of stations on the physical rail line, which operates between Long Island City to Jamaica via the old, disused stations (Hunterspoint Avenue is on the Main Line). Mileposts are also still measured via this route. Note that other LIRR services, barring the two Main line services (Ronkonkoma and Port Jefferson) list their station listings where their branches split off from a main route. undo Tag: Manual revert

  • curprev 01:2701:27, 18 August 2023Pokemonred200 talk contribs 36,906 bytes +309 Rewrote lead, as the Babylon Branch service never used the Lower Montauk (which is not electrified), while I am not entirely sure if track capacity is why trains occasionally use the main line; the line was still double track when this was written, the Central Branch is single track, and travel times are longer. Before the recent schedule change, most Montauk Branch trains stayed along the Montauk Branch (via Freeport) generally from what I recall. undo
