The Montreal Internet Exchange (QIX) was incorporated in 2013 as a not-for-profit Internet Exchange Point (IXP) located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada but was originally created in 1995 and operated by RISQ (Réseau d'informations scientifiques du Québec). As of December 2015, QIX had 50 members.[1] The exchange is now averaging 40Gbps.[2]
