Morant Cays Lighthouse is 32 miles (51 km) south east of Jamaica on the easternmost point of North-East Cay in the Morant Cays.[3] The Morant Cays are administratively part of St Thomas, Jamaica.[2]
The light lists describe it as a framework tower, so the present tower (as seen in the photograph) might not be the original lighthouse.[1]
It is maintained by the Port Authority of Jamaica, an agency of the Ministry of Transport and Works.[1]
