Mto wa Mbu, is an administrative ward in the Monduli district of the Arusha Region of Tanzania. According to the 2012 census, the ward has a total population of 11,405.[1] The name Mto wa Mbu means "River of Mosquitoes". Mto wa Mbu has an area of 3,600 square kilometres (1,400 sq mi) of which 1,800 square kilometres (690 sq mi) is for cultivation.[citation needed]
