It contains the mausolea of the Taishō Emperor, Empress Teimei, the Shōwa Emperor (Hirohito), and Empress Kōjun.[1] The four mausolea are, respectively, Tama no Misasagi (多摩陵);[2] Tama no Higashi no Misasagi (多摩東陵);[1] Musashino no Misasagi (武藏野陵);[3][4][5] and Musashino no Higashi no Misasagi (武藏野東陵).[1][6] The approach from the Kōshū Kaidō is lined with zelkova and the mausolea planted with cryptomeria.[1]
