Corporate information

History

In 1994, William Michael Mushkin founded Mushkin, Inc. in Denver, Colorado. The company started its business supplying memory modules to Macintosh users.[citation needed]

On May 11, 2000, Ramtron International Corporation (NasdaqRMTR) and its subsidiary, Enhanced Memory Systems, announced an agreement to acquire Mushkin through a merge.[2] On June 15, 2000, Ramtron and Enhanced Memory Systems announced the completion of the merge. Mushkin had become a wholly owned subsidiary of Ramtron.[3] But in July 2005, George Stathakis, the general manager, purchased Mushkin from Ramtron and became Mushkin's new owner and president.[4]

On 8 December 2008, Mushkin moved its headquarters south, to Inverness, a suburban tech center in Englewood, Colorado. The company wanted more space and a building more suitable for light manufacturing, assembly, R&D, and component testing. The new building had 50% more production space, 30% more room for testing and R&D, and 40% more office space. The new address is 317 Inverness Way South, Ste 130, Englewood Co. 80112. Mushkin's phone numbers and other contact information remained the same.[5]

After being bought by Avant Technology Inc. in October 2011, they have since moved to Pflugerville, Texas,[6] just outside Austin.[citation needed]
