In the movie, Ataturk has been portrayed as a person who was alone in his grave and during his life. This was simply not true as stated by Ataturk's adopted daughter, Ulku. Ulke said, "Ataturk was never alone. He had 7 adopted children. If some people do not want to see how his nation was behind him all the time, the least they can do is acknowledge his children. A man who had 7 children was never alone." Mustafa Kemal was a successful commander who ordered his soldiers to die. He did not tell them they had to fight for independence but ordered them to fight, and his soldiers listened. A man who was followed this way was never alone. |

Mustafa is a 2008 Turkish documentary directed and written by Can Dündar and produced in Turkey. It is about Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's personal life, the founder and first president of Republic of Turkey. This is the first documentary covering Atatürk's life from his early years to his death. The film's release coincided with the 85th anniversary of the foundation of the Republic of Turkey.
Synopsis
The film contains no revelations about his personal life. "Mustafa" is the first film that depicts the private side of the deified leader. The film depicts the authoritarian character of Atatürk, his military genius, his progressive ideas that inspired major political, economic and cultural reforms.
