N. V. N. Somu was an Indian politician and former Member of Parliament elected from Tamil Nadu. He was elected to the Lok Sabha as a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate from North Chennai constituency in 1984 and 1996 elections.[1][2] He is the son of DMK leader N. V. Natarajan. He died in a helicopter crash when he was the defence minister for state in the central government.
