After six decades since its inception, the Trustees of the hospital decided to join hands with Radiant Life Care Private Limited in order to upgrade and create high-end, state-of-the-art Quaternary care facilities anchored on Centres of Excellence, to deliver the best of healthcare—hence Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital (NSSH) was born.

History
1946: Dr. Balabhai Nanavati Hospital was founded by Ratilal Manilal Nanavati in memory of his grandfather (the physician to the royal family of Gaekwads). In the inception stage, Mahatma Gandhi blessed the hospital to set the course of its journey of care and compassion.
1950: In 1950, India’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru inaugurated the hospital.
1962: The Cancer Centre was inaugurated by Mother Teresa and she brought the first patient – a child suffering from cancer for treatment at Nanavati Hospital.
2004: In memory of his mother, Lateef Fatima, the Bollywood celebrity Shah Rukh Khan, donated for an advanced Pediatric Centre.
2007: ACRO – Advanced Centre for Radiation Oncology was inaugurated.
2008: Nanavati’s Centre for Audiology & Speech Therapy was inaugurated by Bollywood celebrity Hrithik Roshan
2014: Dr. Balabhai Nanavati Hospital tied up with Radiant Life Care Pvt. Ltd. to advance the existing facility into a Quaternary Care Hospital. The new Cath Lab was inaugurated the same year.
2015: 24x7 Accident & Emergency Centre was launched – Former Union Cabinet Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Shri Shatrughan Sinha and Honorable Health Minister of Maharashtra, Dr. Deepak Sawant inaugurated the centre.
