Nancy Juvonen (born May 18, 1967) is an American film producer.[2] She and Drew Barrymore own the production company Flower Films.

Career

Juvonen graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in sociology and cooperative education.[3] After graduating she worked odd jobs. She was employed at a dude ranch in Wyoming, worked as a private flight attendant, and worked for an artist who was trying to eradicate homelessness. Eventually she got her big break as an assistant to Clarence Clemons, a member of Bruce Springsteen's "E Street Band.[4][5]

In addition to producing the film Donnie Darko, she appeared in an uncredited role as a flight attendant.

In 1993, Juvonen met Drew Barrymore through her brother Jim, a writer/producer who was working on the set of Mad Love.[2] The two subsequently founded Flower Films.[6]

Personal life

Barrymore introduced Juvonen to talk-show host Jimmy Fallon in 2005 while the three filmed Fever Pitch. After two years, the couple became engaged in August 2007. They married on December 22, 2007 on Necker Island in the Caribbean.[7][8] Juvonen and Fallon have two daughters, one born in 2013 and the other in 2014. Both children were born via surrogacy.[9][10]

Juvonen is the daughter of aviation industry executive William H. Juvonen, who is a Stanford University alumnus and former Marine Aviator.[11] In September 1961 while flying a gunnery mission as a new aviator undergoing fleet replacement pilot training in VMF 334, he experienced a wing failure at the fold joint and ejected from his F-8C Crusader jet.[12] To commemorate the event, on March 31, 2015, his son-in-law, Jimmy Fallon, presented him with a commemorative Martin-Baker watch on The Tonight Show (Martin-Baker made his ejection seat).
