Nargis Sethi

Nargis Sethi (Template:Lang-ur) is a senior civil service officer in Islamabad, Pakistan.[1]

Nargis Sethi, was once dubbed Pakistan’s most powerful woman, hold the office of the secretary of the Ministry of Water and Power. Nargis Sethi previously held the office of Principal Secretary to former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani as well as Cabinet and Defence Secretary of Pakistan.[2]

Nargis Sethi holds post graduate degrees in International Relations from Karachi University, Defence Studies from Quaid-e-Azam University and Development Administration from a university in United States.[3]

Nargis Sethi is married to Saleem Sethi who is also a senior civil service officer.

She was the first woman to be posted as the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, Defence Secretary, Secretary Economic Affairs Division, Secretary Health and Secretary Water & Power. She also served as Cabinet Secretary to the Government of Pakistan.[4]
