National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People (NCPEDP) is trust established in 1996. It was created with the help of Rajiv Gandhi Foundation.[citation needed] The organization phillosophy is that society needs to change traditionally held views of "charity and welfare to those of productivity and empowerment of disabled people". The first director of NCPEDP was Javed Abidi.
