The National Women’s League (NWL) (French: Ligue nationale féminine de Rugby) is an amateur rugby union league located in Canada, partially funded by Rugby Canada. There are five representative teams from regions across Canada, competing for the National Cup. The NWL tournament features women’s provincial teams from across Canada competing in a round-robin style event. Its featured three divisions – Premier, Senior, and U20 – with Quebec, Atlantic Provinces, and Ontario U20s winning their respective divisions. The regular season goes from July to August, and there is no post-season. The Canadian Interuniversity Sports (CIS) is related to this league.[1]
