New York's 5th State Senate district is one of 63 districts of the New York State Senate. It is currently represented by Carl Marcellino (R). Senator Marcellino was first elected in 1995 and serves as Senate Education Committee's chairman.

Geography

District 5 covers a portion of Nassau County and Suffolk County, including a portion of the city of Glen Cove and towns of Huntington and Oyster Bay.[1]
