Nice Guys is the second single from We Are Scientists' album Barbara. The single was released on 7 June 2010,[1] the week before Barbara and managed to debut at number 17 on the UK Indie Chart.

Release

The track was premiered on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show on April 29, and made his Hottest Record soon after.[2][3] The single's artwork features dolls of the band - (L-R) Andy, Keith, and Chris. The dolls were created by Adrian Stone, a fan of the band.[4]

Music video

Nice Guys was premiered on The Sun's website on April 30. The music video was produced and directed by Chris Cain and Keith Murray, with both Keith and Chris riding around on scooters - Chris using a hand held camera to film Keith performing 'extreme tricks', which are purposely bad. Parodying subtitles are used within the video. For instance, the lead lyric "if you're the nice guy act like the nice guy" becomes "if you're the night sky act like the night sky".[5]

Chart performance

"Nice Guys" debuted on the UK Indie Chart at number 17 on 13 June 2010.
