Nikolay Nankov Nenchev (Bulgarian: Николай Нанков Ненчев), born 11 August 1966, is a Bulgarian politician, who was Minister of Defence of Bulgaria as part of the Second Borisov Government from 2014 to 2017.[1] He is also among the leading members of the Reformist Bloc.

Career

Born in Yambol, Nenchev holds a Master degree in Law, as well as a degree in Political Science and International Relations. He has taught at the New Bulgarian University in Sofia. Since 2011 he is the Chairman of the Bulgarian Agrarian National Union.

On 7 November 2014, Nenchev assumed his duties as Minister of Defence of Bulgaria, succeeding Velizar Shalamanov.[2]
