Nomaza Nongqunga Coupez

Nomaza Nongqunga Coupez was born in South Africa, in 1981. She is the founder of the company Undiscover Canvass which promotes African artists in France. Since August 2017, she has also been a member of the Presidential Council for Africa.[1][2]

Biography

Nomaza Nongqunga Coupez holds a bachelor's degree from Bloemfontein Tecknikon. She has been living in France since 2009. Upon her arrival, she decided to play a role in promoting African culture and helping young African artists gain visibility on the European market.[3][4] In 2015, Nomaza Nongqunga Coupez presents her first exhibition, which gives her the time to learn the French language and to immerse herself in the culture. Nomaza Nongqunga Coupez then expands her activities by creating her company Undiscover canvass whose primary goal is to promote African artists in France but also to work with the film and wine industry in South Africa.[5] She joins the Presidential Council for Africa an organisation created by Emmanuel Macron the French president to put a new face to the relationship between Africa and France.[6]
