Octav Mayer

Octav Mayer (October 5 [O.S. September 22] 1895 – 9 September 1966) was a Romanian mathematician, the first to earn a doctorate in Romania.[1]

The Octav Mayer Institute of Mathematics of the Romanian Academy is named after him.[2][3]
