Welcome to my talk page. You can edit this page. Really.

I am glad to hear from you. Talking to Wikipedians offers exicting opportunities to learn, engage, and grow in wisdom and truth. I welcome your questions, ideas and concerns.

I have a three ironclad rules:

  1. Identify yourself by user name (signature) or nickname (if.not.logged.in — but I strongly urge you to do so).
  2. Please, be civil and follow Wikipedia guidelines.
  3. Don't waste my time with nonsense and don't whine.

That's it. Please follow them.

How I communicate:

  • I seldom copy threads between talk pages, but sometimes watch others' talk pages, in case it bothers you.
  • I quickly archive most conversations archives.
  • I welcome private e-mails.
  • I have special messages for admins, heated debaters, and troublemakers:

Admins:

  • If you are an admin, please identify yourself as one.
  • Please acknowledge my complaints, and if you do not have time to address them, say so.
  • I expect a high level of performance from admins with respect to 1] knowing the rules, and 2] recnognizing when someome is gaming them.
  • If I am asking for too much, or if you believe I don't understand the rules, please explain why.

I like to argue and sometimes work on disputes topics. If you do, too, keep the following in mind:

  • Be willing to admint you're wrong.
  • Be willing to say you don't know.
  • Use quotes and citations to support your argument. When arguing, I ask precise, detailed questions. Answer them, or do not engage. Repeating your argument
  • I make bold criticisms and suggestions (sometimes aimed at issues of character). Please do not let this offend you; I do it for your good and the good of the project.
  • You may notice that I sometimes insist on making my point at length, sometimes to a fault, and that I always have to have the last word. If it honestly freaks you out at some point, let me know and do not continue the discussion.
  • Just because you think it does not make it true.

Troublemakers, beware:

  • I watch problem users very carefully and have a low threshold for nonsense.
  • I can spot many tactics, I learn more every day, and I have a few of my own. Don't get cute.
  • I report problem users and I fully engage the system to have them blocked.
  • I have a hard on for problem users who invoking WP rules to intimidate others.
  • I was a newbie (for two weeks in Aug. '05). I am no longer so naive and gullible, but I still hold a grudge
  • I learn fast and I notice everything eventually.
  • I am

I may not respond to users acting in bad faith, bullies, vandals, those gaming the system, users with little history, new anonymous IPs who disputed pages, mockers and scoffers, accusers, baiting, and the intellectually dishonest, those who refuse to answer specific questions.
