Oliver Ready

Oliver Ready (born 1976) is a research fellow in Russian Society and culture at St Antony's College, Oxford. He had completed his Phd at Wolfson College, Oxford.

He has translated Crime and Punishment,[1][2] The Zero Train,[3] Before and During,[4] and The Prussian Bride.[5] of which the translation won the Rossica Translation Prize, in 2005.

He has co-translated The Maisky diaries.[6]

He is the author of Persisting in Folly: Russian Writers in Search of Wisdom, 1963-2013 '(Peter Lang: Oxford, 2017)''''.[7]

He was director of the Russkiy Mir Programme at St. Antony's between 2011 and 2014, and he has also interest in writing about Russian culture and literature.[8][9][10]

An earlier writer with a similar name Oliver George Ready wrote Life and sport in China in 1904.[11]
