Oscar Santillan

Oscar Santillan (born 1980, in Ecuador) is an Ecuadorian visual artist who lives between The Netherlands and Ecuador. He received his MFA in Sculpture from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU),[1] and has attended residencies at Jan van Eyck Academie, Skowhegan, and Seven Below. He has taught at the University of the Arts (Uarts) in Philadelphia, PA; and Instituto de Artes del Ecuador (ITAE).

Santillan has exhibited his work at the Oud-Rekem castle (Belgium),[2] Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art -SECCA (USA),[3] Marilia Razuk gallery (São Paulo, Brazil),[4] Fundacion Odeon (Bogota, Colombia),[5] Munikat (Munich, Germany), Vogt gallery (NY, USA),[6] DPM gallery (Guayaquil, Ecuador),[7] Washington Project of the Arts Biennial (USA),[8] Pierogi's Boiler (NY, USA),[9] among other venues.
