Name

[edit]

The village of Øyslebø (Old Norse: Øyðslubœr) is named after the old Øyslebø farm, where Øyslebø Church is located. The name is derived from the old river name, Øyðsla.[4] The name was previously spelled Øslebø or Øislebø.
