Păsăreni (Hungarian: Backamadaras, Hungarian pronunciation: [ˈbɒtskɒmɒdɒrɒʃ]) is a commune in Mureş County, Romania composed of three villages:

  • Bolintineni / Nyárádbálintfalva
  • Gălăţeni / Szentgerice
  • Păsăreni

Demographics

The commune has an absolute Székely Hungarian majority. According to the 2002 Census it has a population of 1,920 of which 84.27% or 1,618 are Hungarian.
