PTTMetro is the CGI.br Comitê Gestor da Internet no Brasil project that deploys and maintains the Internet exchange point (IXP) in Brazil. All PTTMetro costs are sustained by CGI.br, despite Autonomous Systems (AS) participants needs for ports (number and capacity). Each participant AS has only costs to reach one or more Interconnection Points (PIX) of a specific PTTMetro location. PTT Metro has 22 Internet exchange points in Brazil and the most important one is located in São Paulo with a traffic peak over 1 Tbit/s.[1]
