Parangcho (파랑초/波浪礁), also known as Dingyan Jiao (丁岩礁) is a disputed reef.[1] It is located 4.5 km from Socotra Rock. It was named by China in 1999 as Dingyan. It was named Parangcho in 2006 by the South Korean government. The South Korean Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries has stated that it will seek to register the reef's name with global organizations and for maps.[1]
