Parkitect (also known as Theme Parkitect) is a construction and management simulation video game that simulates amusement park management.[1] The project began seeking funding on Kickstarter in 2014 and is currently released as a Pre-Alpha.[2]

Gameplay

The premise of the game is to build a Theme Park. Similar to Rollercoaster Tycoon, the player must build the rides and manage the parks as well as keeping their guests happy. The plater may hire staff to fulfill the needs of the park.

Development

In March 2014, development started as an attempt to simulate coaster physics before deciding to turn it into a full theme park simulation game.[3] On August 22, 2014, Texel Raptor launched the Kickstarter of the game. By September 21, 2014, the campaign raised $63,730—127% of its $50,000 goal.[4] From then on, Texel Raptor released images and stats regarding the development of the game.[5] It wasn't until September 9, 2015 when Texel Raptor released the pre-alpha to those who pre-ordered and backed the game. On November 30, Alpha 5—the most recent version of the game—was released.
