Past Present is an album by John Scofield, recorded in March 2015 and released on September 25, 2015.[1] Scofield is joined on this recording by Joe Lovano, Larry Grenadier, and Bill Stewart on saxophone, bass, and drums, respectively. The album earned Scofield a Grammy Award nomination for Best Jazz Instrumental Album.[citation needed] The title track also earned Scofield a nomination for Best Improvised Jazz Solo.[citation needed]

This album is a reunion for Scofield, Lovano, and Stewart, who recorded quartet records (Meant to Be, What We Do) and performed together extensively in the early 1990s.
