Patricio French (c.1742-?) was a Spanish nobleman, merchant and importer of Buenos Aires.[1]

Biography

Patricio French was born in Cádiz, son of Patricio French and Cristobalina Alcalá (both Spanish). He was married in the Cathedral of Buenos Aires on May 25, 1772, with María Isabel de Urreaga Dávila, (descendant of Basque).[2] They were the parents of the Argentine patriot Domingo French. Patricio was descended of Oliver French, (born in Galway) and Margaret Joyes, who in 1652 they had married in Spain.[3]
