Reverend Patrick McCollum (born April 11, 1950) is an interfaith chaplain, spiritual mentor, and peace counselor.
Titles, Events and Awards
H.E. Rev. Patrick McCollum was ordained in 1971 and serves as President of Our Lady Of The Wells Church, a California Non-Profit Religious Corporation.[1] He serves as the National Prison Chaplaincy Affairs Coordinator for the Lady Liberty League, and is the International Interfaith Ambassador for Circle Sanctuary.[2] Rev. McCollum served as Director of Chaplaincy for Cherry Hill Seminary, and is the Executive Director of the National Correctional Chaplaincy Directors Association. He is also the co-founder and co-facilitator of the G-Card program for the American Academy of Religion, which trains state and federal administrators of religion & chaplaincy programs nationwide. The program also trains chaplain representatives from the United States military.[3] In addition, Reverend McCollum serves on the Executive Council of the American Correctional Chaplains Association, and is the Minority Faith Issues Chair.[4]
In India, McCollum is known by many as the Venerable Shide Gyarpo, meaning, the King of Peace. He was originally given this title by Rimpoche Lama Gangchen at Borbodur on the Island of Java. Many Hindus recognize Patrick as a Pagan Hindu Saint and he has been given the name “Babaji,’ meaning ‘Revered Father.’ To Native Americans he is known as ‘He Who Speaks With The Mother.’
Reverend McCollum sits on the Executive Board of Directors of the United Nation's NGO, Children of the Earth and serves as the Chaplaincy Liaison for the American Academy of Religion, the worlds's largest and oldest convocation of religious scholars, theologians, and clergy.
2013 McCollum was a speaker at the 7th anniversary of the Maha Kumbh Mela Ji that occurs once every 100 years in India. The Kumbh Mela is a month long event that happens every 12 years. The 2013 Maha Kumbh Mela Ji was the celebration of a 1000-year cycle, the 7th anniversary of this event, that marked the 7,000th anniversary of the first Kumbh Mela.[5]

McCollum is the author of "Courting the Lady: A Wiccan Journey, Book One: The Sacred Path".[7]
McCollum presents on a number of topics at religious gatherings around the world.
