Upon its overseas release on the iTunes Store, Fantôme debuted at number one in Japan, and 9 other countries. It reached #3 in the United States and hit the top 20 in a further 16 countries.[14][15][16]

Interaction with Ricky Gervais
Benbrick composed 2 pieces[24] that received attention from Ricky Gervais. After cutting the short scores to scenes from the Channel 4 TV Show Derek (TV show).[25] the multi Emmy, BAFTA and Golden Globe winning creator of the show Ricky Gervais came across the music and began to post about it online. On Facebook he called the music "Stunningly beautiful"[26] adding later ‘I just want you to love it as much as I do’.[27][28][29][30][31] After discovering "Perfect Ending" Ricky Gervais called Benbrick "a future genius".[32]
