Paul Hamilton (architect)
Paul Hamilton (1924-2004) was a British architect of Austrian origin.[1]
Early life
Hamilton was born Paul Albert Herschan in Austria. He attended the Gymnasium Humaniska in Vienna then migrated to Britain via the Kindertransport in 1939.
Work
Hamilton often collaborated with John Bicknell. His notable works include:
- Harlow Town railway station
- Workshops, offices and boiler house at London Paddington station; now known as the Battleship Building[2]
- Signal box at Birmingham New Street railway station
