Paul Malong Awan is a South Sudanese politician and military figure. He has served as governor of Northern Bahr el Ghazal since 27 March 2008.[2]

In April 2014 he was appointed Chief of General Staff of the Sudan People's Liberation Army by the president of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit.[3]
