Peter Estlin

Peter Kenneth Estlin (born July 1961) is an alderman of the City of London Corporation where he represents the ward of Coleman Street. Having served as a Sheriff of the City of London for the year 2016-17, he was elected as the 691st Lord Mayor of the City of London on the 1st of October 2018. He will take up the position in the silent ceremony on 9 November 2018.[1]

Estlin is an advisor to Barclays plc. He was educated at King Edward's School, Witley and the University of Bristol. He became chartered accountant and partner with Coopers & Lybrand in 1993. He was chief financial officer for Salomon Brothers Asia, and then for Citigroup Investment Banking and Banking divisions in New York and London. He joined Barclays bank in 2008 and was appointed Acting Group Chief financial officer in August 2013.[2][3]
