Petrinje (pronounced [pɛˈtɾiːnjɛ]; Italian: Petrigne) is a small village in the Municipality of Hrpelje-Kozina in the Littoral region of Slovenia.[2]

Mass grave

Petrinje is the site of a mass grave associated with the Second World War. The Wasp Shaft Mass Grave (Template:Lang-sl) is located in a terraced area west of Brdgodec Hill (447 m) north of Petrinje. It contains the remains of undetermined victims.[3]

Church

The local church is dedicated to Saint Sebastian and belongs to the Parish of Klanec.[4]
