Pheletes quercus is a species of click beetle belonging to the family Elateridae.[1]

Description

Pheletes quercus can reach a length of about 4–6 millimetres (0.16–0.24 in).[2] Adults can be found at the end of April until June, feeding on grasses, herbaceous plants and shrubs.[3]

Distribution and habitat

This species is present in most of Europe, in Siberia and in the Near East.[2][4] It occurs in lowlands and hilly regions, especially in dry and sunny areas.[3]
