For the painter known as Il Piccio, see Giovanni Carnovali.

The Piccio family is a family of Portuguese Jewish origin from Venice with established branches in different countries,[1][2] most notably Argentina,[3][4] France,[5] Italy and the Philippines.[6][7][8][9][10] Members also reside in lesser numbers in other countries.[11][12][13][14]

The family’s name is an Italianized standardization by notaries in Rome of the original Portuguese Figo,[1] which had occasionally been misrendered as Pigo due to the ambiguous pronunciation of the Hebrew פיגו, in which form it had often been written.
