Pillowtex was a United States textile manufacturing company from 1954 to 2003. Pillowtex was originally a pillow, mattress pad and down or synthetic comforter maker. They bought Fieldcrest who made products by the brands Cannon, Royal Velvet, Fieldcrest, Charisma, and others. Its brands were purchased by Iconix Brand Group in 2007.[1] It was publicly traded on NYSE as PTX.[2] It ended its operations in 2003 when it filed for bankruptcy.

The Pillowtex brand was bought by Pacific Pillows in 2009 and memory and latex foam pillows are now sold under the Pillowtex name.[3]
