Ponmagal Vanthal (Template:Lang-ta, Template:Lang-en) is a 2018 Tamil Language family melodrama starring Meghna Vincent, Vicky Krish and Shanoor Sana Begum in lead roles. It started airing on 26 February 2018 on Vijay TV,[1] every Monday to Friday at 2:00 PM (IST) in an afternoon programming block called "Vijay Matinee Thodargal". Later the show was rescheduled to air Monday through Saturday.[2][3] The series marks the debut Tamil-language television series for Ayesha of Kerala, who plays the lead role, however after the episode 105 and (still to date) she was replaced by Meghna Vincent.[4] The series is directed by Rasool.
Synopsis
The story is about Rohini (Meghna Vincent/Ayesha) who loves her family and is ready to give up anything to make them happy.

Controversy
Director Nambiraja abused Ayesha (the latter who earlier played the role of Rohini) in the shooting spot.[6] The problem became further and both director and producer voluntarily sacked her from playing the lead role in the serial.[7]

The series was released on 26 February 2018 alongside Avalum Naanum on Vijay TV and Vijay TV HD. The series was also broadcast internationally on the channel's international distribution.
