Portsmouth Christian Academy (PCA) is a private non-denominational Christian school in Dover, New Hampshire, United States. There are three schools within the academy: Preschool (3-5 yrs), Lower School (K-8), and Upper School (9-12). The Upper School is designed as a college preparatory program.

History

Portsmouth Christian was first opened in 1992 as a K-12 school.[1] The first campus was located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The Upper School was opened in 1995.[1]

Curriculum

The average Upper School class size is 17. Over 20 honors and AP courses are offered.[2]

Students at the Lower School have the opportunity to dual enroll in the upper school and earn college credits.[2]

PCA enrolls around 800 students from around New England.[2]

Extracurricular activities

Athletics

PCA is a Division IV member of the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association (NHIAA).

Baseball: NH Division IV State Champs: 2010 and 2015

Activities

Portsmouth Christian has 13 school sanctioned clubs.[3] PCA's quiz team has won the Granite State Challenge and New Hampshire Quiz Bowl League several times.[4]
