Prem Nagar is a small town in Dehradun district of Uttarakhand, India. It was named after Ral Bahadur Prem Nath.[1] Following the creation of the Indian Military College in 1922 in the nearby village of Garhi, the Indian Military Academy was founded in 1932 in Prem Nagar on the grounds of the Railway Staff College.[2] Today, Premnagar and the Academy lie just off National Highway 72 (Chakrata Road), about 8 km (5.0 mi) west of Dehradun.[3]
