Dehonians
The Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (also known as the Dehonians by the initials SCI or SCJ, which stands for Sacerdotum Cordis Jesu in Latin) constitute a Roman Catholic religious congregation of priests and brothers. The order was founded in northern France in Saint-Quentin, Aisne, Picardy by Léon Dehon in 1878.[1]
The congregation runs the Sacred Heart Seminary and School of Theology in Hales Corners, Wisconsin, USA and St Joseph's Church in Stockport, England.[2] In addition, its personnel run St. Joseph's Indian School in Chamberlain, South Dakota; the facility was founded as a mission school in 1927.
