The Proud Miss Stakes is a South Australian Jockey Club Group 3 Thoroughbred horse race for fillies and mares aged three years old and upwards, at set weights with penalties conditions over a distance of 1200 metres at the Morphettville Racecourse Adelaide, Australia in the Autumn Carnival.[1] Prize money is A$175,000.

History

The race is held on The Goodwood race card on the last day of the SAJC Autumn Carnival.

The race is named after the brilliant two year old South Australian filly, Proud Miss who won nine consecutive races[2] before finishing second in the 1962 Golden Slipper Stakes.[3]
