The Puffin Foundation provides grants to individual artists and organizations who might have difficulty securing funding due to the nature of their work or access to resources. It is based in Teaneck, New Jersey. The Puffin Foundation also runs the Puffin Cultural Forum and formerly operated a SoHo gallery - the Puffin Room - now on hiatus. In addition to its grants for the arts, the Foundation operates numerous other educational programs. The Puffin/Nation Prize for Creative Citizenship is an American award citation given jointly by the Puffin Foundation and The Nation Institute.[1]
